The Museum of Steam Locomotives in Sibiu was inaugurated in 1994 and displays 35 steam locomotives, 2 steam cranes and 2 steam ploughs made between 1885 and 1958 at the following plants:

Henschel - 5 locomotives in 1894, 1906, 1922, 1924 and 1929 and a steam snow-plough in 1924,
The 23 August Plants in Bucharest - 4 locomotives in 1949,
Schwartzkopff Berlin - 3 locomotives in 1914, 1923 and 1943,
Wiener Neustädter Lokomotivfabrik - 2 locomotives, 1885 and 1896 (the oldest exhibits),
